I honestly can’t sing the hosts praises enough. I asked for something romantic so she added a few details for us to accommodate our stay and make it extra special for my partner who I was surprising. We stayed in the Hobbit hole. The attention to detail was impeccable, the cleanliness was also done to a high standard. The facilities was cozy, calming. And extremely relaxing. With board games to suit all ages. There wasn’t anything they have not thought about. The hot tub was hot. Beautiful location and very clean. We will be returning!

We have just came home from a lovely two night stay at Cranfield Retreat. We stayed in the hobbit house as a family of 4. It was simply fabulous. Set in a lovely relaxing location. the facilities including the kitchen lounge area and bathrooms had everything you could need and were spotlessly clean. We hired the hot tub for 2 days which was absolutely fab and highly recommend. Clare and Henry couldn't have been more helpful, they even bought us some marshmallows when we forgot them to toast over the fire. We would also recommend buying the breakfast hamper which was lovely. All the little touches including tea, coffee and milk on arrival, ice in the freezer and lots of games for the kids to play. We couldn't recommend enough, a lovely relaxing stay. We will be back.

I recently stayed at Cranfield Retreat with my daughter, and we had the pleasure of staying in the Yurt tent. From the very start, Clare was incredibly accommodating and hospitable. Due to personal circumstances, I had to reschedule our trip, and she was both understanding and helpful throughout the process. When we finally arrived this weekend, the experience was nothing short of wonderful. Although the weather wasn’t ideal on Friday and Saturday, there was something truly comforting about listening to the rain against the Yurt’s roof. The Yurt itself was immaculate—warm, cosy, and perfectly maintained. My daughter adored the expansive green space and the charming cart house, where we enjoyed dinner and played board games. The bathrooms were spotless and conveniently close to the tent, adding to the ease of our stay. I booked the hot tub for Sunday morning, and fortunately, the weather cooperated—it was an absolute delight. Cranfield Retreat is nestled in a beautiful, tranquil location, offering a peaceful escape. Clare and Henry’s welcoming nature truly stood out; their thoughtful touches, including adaptations to our stay due to the weather, made all the difference. Their care and attention to detail are evident, and it’s clear that they genuinely want their guests to have a memorable experience. We will definitely be returning. Clare and Henry are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to create a welcoming and enjoyable retreat.

This is the most beautiful idyllic place. We stayed for 3 nights in the yurt. Everything about this place is out of this world. The hosts as soon as you arrive, the fantastic setting, the facilities, the location, the wonderful walks and the list goes on and on as to why we would recommend this to anyone. We are so sad to go home but until next time xxx

Family stay. We were in the Shepherds Hut and the others were in the Hobbit Hole. Both were decorated and furnished so well. Everything was provided, towels, quality bed linen, wood, milk and even eggs from the chickens. There is a large kitchen and lounge. Also a hot tub and 2 toilets with showers. Everything is really clean, I'm very fussy. The grounds are really pretty with great views of the countryside. Lots of lovely outdoor furniture too. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be going back.

This retreat is absolutely stunning in any weather - set well back from the road, it's so peaceful and relaxing, yet so close to amenities if you forget something. The hosts go to the nth degree to make you feel welcome & valued. The kitchen is bigger & better equipped than mine at home! And we had the Shepherd Hut (hard to believe they built it all themselves! 😍) which is deceptively spacious, beautifully styled & even has a wood burner for those cosy, chilled out nights. Every element of everything has been so well thought out - and with all the newly planted trees, extra parking, hot tub & disabled shower facilities it just keeps getting better & better. I will be back for one of your wellbeing retreats! And I can't wait!

Wow, just wow! Cranfield Retreat and glamping is an amazing and tranquil place to stay. Each accommodation and facility has been lovingly crafted and thought through, the attention to detail is exquisite. We stayed in the Mongolian Yurt which was stunning, immaculate and very comfortable. Clare and Henry are very welcoming and friendly and live next door and nothing is too much trouble. If you are wanting to visit the area or live locally and want to get away this place is perfect.
